IDEAL BLOX

Looking for some entertainment for your children---other than a DVD??? I HIGHLY recommend this toy, called IDEAL BLOX. It is something we have had for only a few months and it is by far one of "our" favorite toys! We found this at the Big E, where many vendors try to sell their product. Many seem hokey, but this one was a WINNER! These lightweight, hollow shapes are really fun and challenging at the same time. Drew first played with a set at a friends house when he was about 2 years old and I was amazed at how long it captivated his attention! It is a great manipulative learning tool and the possiblities are endless! This toy is great because it doesn't frustrate someone as young as Drew (or younger) and is still challenging for adults! It comes with a poster of tons of different shapes to make! It cost $20.00 and has been well worth it. We plan to keep it around for ALL the kids to play with! (us included!) Check out www.solutionideale.com if you are interested!

(side note: it does say x for ages 0-3. this is probably due to the size of the smallest piece(the white ones). but I feel it would not be a choking hazard h if there was proper supervision!)

p.s. that was really for the YgrandmothersY out there! :)

This is what the box looks like:

All of the pieces fit neatly together into a pyramid shape, held together in a plastic stand which fits back into the box:

The 15 pieces (whew...we still have all of them!):

Okay, thank you so much for the tip...I am always looking for toys that will hold their attention for longer than 2 minutes!!!

Thanks for the idea! I wonder if boys like to manipulate things with their hands more than girls do? Are they really more mechanically minded? hmmm. just thinking outloud. This does look like something Jonas would love, but something Ella would love to destroy! We'll see...

I bought some of these for my own enjoyment about 3 weeks ago on shoptvcanada.com and I never got a poster with my purchase and i bought two sets. Just wondering if anybody has any idea where i can get a poster to go with my blox, i love them, but im not very creative, so I love the patterns. Thanks
