Here is my humble attempt. I was inspired by Amy Coe's baby line found at Target for Jack's room. I loved the green & brown combination with the elephants. But I felt inspired & thrifty enough to attempt to create some decor on my own. So I mixed the store bought with the homemade. This bumber was the end result. It was probably my second "real" sewing project. It was good practice for me.
I did this back in October when I was VERY pregnant with #2. I called this my "nesting project." I used the bumper from my first son & basically made a huge pillowcase out of a sheet. But before that I made & designed the little squares to go on it. My husband drew the elephant on the computer for a template which I found "furry" white material for. Then I added the ribbon ties & sewed it all together!!! (sorry no step-by-step! time was running out!) It wasn't that difficult, but rather timely since I was using my brand new sewing machine and figuring all the measurements out as I went along.

I just left the inside plain. Next time (if there is one) I think I'll add some cuteness to the inside.

I loved it because Jack's name was on it.
Jack & his green elephants.
I found these at Gymboree & was thrilled! Green elephants are not easy to come by these days. They are also his favorite "lovies." Also notice the baby gap elephant shirt.
